Fissure Sealants placed after Fluid Abrasion – The Fluid Abrasion system can be used to clean out stained fissures (the cracks on tooth biting surfaces).  Afterwards a protective liquid sealant is bonded into position to protect and maintain the "newly freshened up appearance". They are permanent, protective, last for many years and can be renewed easily.

These fissure sealants are often used on children's teeth to help avoid dental decay in their "formative years". The treatment is also suitable for adults especially those more prone to tooth decay.

If you wish to reduce recurrent tooth staining, especially stained fissures (caused perhaps by coffee, tea or some mouthwashes), the staining can be removed and the fissure sealed after, leaving it looking much nicer (and protected).
